Phoenix Chinese Food in Cowick Street is a good Chinese Takeaway with a small amount of restaurant seating (for about 20 people).
The service is always friendly and the Chinese food manages to generally be significantly better than any other Chinese takeaways in the area (save the Imperial China, which is also a proper full-sized restaurant, with prices to match).
I particularly like their more spicy chow mein and egg fried rice dishes, and their sides such as chips, crispy won tons and pancakes rolls are all very tasty. I also recommend the spare ribs and 'barbecued' sauce.
They also do some more traditional food, such as burgers, hot dogs and sausages. -

Brilliant chinese there is seating in the building for about 15-20 people. Nice and quick service often give free food i.e prawn crackers with big orders which is always nice. Like this chinese a lot.
